The Plastic Tides team came to speak with us about microbeads in some soaps and products. We got to look under a microscope to see if we could tell which soap had a microbead and which didn't. At first it was hard to tell because I didn't know what to look for but when they showed us a microbead close up, I could really see it.
Then we played a game pretending to be birds searching for food in the sand and we easily confused plastic for food. We learned how hard it is for animals to survive when their homes are full of plastic.
