Welcome back Irish Water Explorers!!!
Posted by GAP Ireland on 6 September 2016

We hope you had a splashing great summer and are happy to be back in school?! For those of you who are new to this programme, WELCOME!!! To the veteran Water Explorers, WELCOME BACK!!!

As we all know, this programme runs as a competition...so to even the playing field we've reset all the points from last year*. Don't worry though, all your hard work, photo's and newsreels are still there on your class blog and in last years leaderboard - it just means that you can also compete this year and win some great prizes with new Water Explorers, or if you have the same class and want to try some of the new challenges we've designed!

A great new challenge to start with is called "Is Your Cupboard Flowing?" in the Secret Water Mission or "Water Selfies" in the Precious Water Mission.

Be sure to check out our special article 'From Ireland to South Africa' and browse some of last year's winning newsreels from Berrings National School in Co. Cork.

As always, please email [email protected] with any questions or phone Gráinne on 01 883 2185 who will be happy to help!

*The competition year runs from September 2016 – June 2017. Teams who have completed less than four Challenges in the previous competition year can choose to retain their challenge points and still be eligible for the national competition. Any teams who have completed four or more Challenges and choose to retain their challenge pointswill not be eligible for the national competition.
