Post related to Water walkway, Precious Water

Our challenge began with a mind map on Water Use. We then organised a survey about using water. We decided to survey a variety of age groups to get a good cross section. In total 87 people were surveyed both within and outside our school. They were asked 8 questions and the results were interesting. We discussed the results as they were collated. For example 86 people said they would not ignore a leaking tap, 63 said they leave the water running while washing the dishes, 57 leave the tap run when brushing their teeth but over 80 percent fill the washing machine before using.

Our next step was to design our water footprints full of ideas for saving water. We also included some great facts on water. The footprints are now on display in a trail which leads to our WATER notice board in the hall.

We loved this challenge!1
