Tippy taps: simple, free and saves water!

"What do we have here? Environmentally speaking, this is one of the school’s passafes. There are tippy taps (old cooldrink bottles)placed in front of every classroom. These are used for washing hands and the water used goes onto our Zone Zero (our garden). So it is assured that absolutely no water is wasted!"

Ebomvini school practices many challenges of saving water as they are Water explorers". We use 2 litre bottles in front of every classroom for tippy taps. This decreases the number of learners going to tanks making a local Nile river of wasted water , as we already have containers in the classrooms for drinking. As water explorers we are trying our best to save water because , " every drop counts".
