Green and Resource School Launch
Posted by Phumelelani Primary, South Africa on 15 December 2020

As one of the more experienced and senior graduates of the environmental school programs, I was delighted to join the celebrations as a key note speaker at the Phumelelani Primary- Resource Use and Green Schools launch. It was quite a party with moving speeches, delicious food and a very inspiring school tour of the grounds. Much to the envy of neighbors school teachers, we admired their functional tippy taps and thriving permaculture and indigenous garden. I was delighted to see how the vegetable garden had been partitioned into different sections with each class from Grade 1-7 responsible for the maintenance of their section of the garden. I was happy that I could depart with little gift from Water Explorers GSS team -  a stunning 1m x 3m squared indigenous grassland garden in front of the Grade 7 classroom. To the new Grade 7 of 2021, hope you are as enthusiastic and Inspiration as 2020 Grade 7 class. We look forward to next year.
