Helping with the Plastic Challenge
Posted by Heather Secondary School, South Africa on 25 June 2019

Last year after Mrs Bridget enlightened Heather Secondary School's Eco club students on Eco bricks, Keona Sewmohan embarked on an Eco brick competition which was greatly supported by the rest of the classes. Earlier this year Taniksha Jugrdew organised daily Eco brick meetings with the club members and started to compact it even further until we had a couple of good compacted eco bricks. On 13th June 2019 Mrs Bridget came in and extended her help to finally make an eco model from our eco brick collection. Our team compacted and assisted in glueing them together and we were able to make a variety of fine creative benches which will now be used in Heather Secondary School's library. It was a Success. Together we managed to save tons of plastic from landing up in oceans or landfill sites and harming our habitat the Earth. It feels impeccable to know that even though in a small way but I have put in effort to save the Earth. I will definitely enlighten and involve my family and friends in eco bricks and will tell them to enlighten their friends and family about eco bricks and hopefully soon Eco bricks will become very famous around the world and we shall be able to save the life in oceans and landfill sites. Thank You Mrs Bridgett for sharing with us The idea of eco bricks, We really appreciate it.
