Together, the Warwick Academy BEARS Club decided that water is so precious to us in Bermuda and and it is very important to conserve it. Our brainstorm led us to the following reasons why its so important to us:
After we gained a better understanding of why water is so precious to us here in Bermuda, the students wrote, recorded and some even preformed songs in honour of our precious water.
Please listen to a some of our recorded songs in the video or here: https://youtu.be/kuy2aLc5KnQ
Here are the lyrics to some of the songs:
By Matthew, Year 4
Water, water precious water.
Do you know why water is so precious to us?
Well, Bermuda does not get so much.
We have to try and save the water everywhere
water oh yeah, water water precious water
Water comes from our faucets people think
but it has a lot more stages first
It come from the rain it falls onto our roof
then it goest into our tank
and it gets pressured
then gets to our sink
By Drew, Year 4
you fall from the sky
and land on the roof.
People drink you.
When we drink it really helps us
By Josh, Year 4
Water, water precious water
come and help us please
we need you to live
when we live you’ll really help us
We’ll do anything to get you will you save us please
Without you we’ll die
By Eva, Year 5
You get your water from the rain
it goes through a filter and into the drain
it goes from the pump and into your glass
you can drink your water at a very big mass
once your glass breaks you have to throw it away
and you can never put it back together again
when you spill your water
you have to mop it up and
can never put it back into your cup
I made it up!!
By, Ellianna, Sanaa, Samara, Year 5
On rainy days the rain falls
Rain rain rain rain rain
From the sky onto the ground
You get water to survive
It will evaporate form the ocean to the sky
Water Water fill your cup
Take a sip then drink it up!
By Ethan, Year 6
