Post related to Down the drain, Fresher Water

Some members  of Protectors team (Amelia Vega School, in Gran Canaria) have designed special containers for oil. They have been very aware about the problem of throwing oil down the drain. For this reason, they have designed them. They have also written a small letter for parents, teachers and students saying reasons why we mustn ´t throw oil down the drain and the difference between a clean and dirty pipe. They have gone to more classes to explain the other students  their work.  In their houses, they have  made the containers with recycled materials and their families have also participated making them.

Our school is very aware  about the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle. Many years ago Parents´ Association have created some containers where  everybody puts  their oil and batteries in specials containers for them. Then, one of the  pupil´s father is the responsible to take the oil and batteries  to a Clean Point ( in spanish Punto Limpio).
