This week Water Masters took on the challenge of reducing paper usage in our school especially photocopying from the office.
Working in groups the teams prepared posters to advertise our "PAPER-LESS" day on Wednesday 6th April. The aim was to shut down the photocopier and use only recycled paper in each class. At assembly, all classes were told about the need to save paper, not waste copies, re-use art and craft materials. We mapped our school and located the heaviest paper users. We decorated old boxes with recycled scraps of card and paper and each class got a box. Everybody can now use these for scraps of card, paper etc. We displayed posters and reminders throughout the school for Paper-less Day. The feedback from teachers was very positive and children are encouraged especially to save copies.
