Civil Engineer, Donal Brennan visited Gerald Griffin N.S. to discuss with pupils how water is supplied to our homes. He also explained to pupils the process of water treatment. He demonstrated how to make the first type of water pump, the Archimedes Screw. Children were then facilitated in making their own Archimedes Screw using a 2l plastic bottle and clear tube and used it to pump water out of the basins.
