UKEB (Uygarlık ve Bilgi) are making a splash!
Posted on 17 June 2019

Congratulations to UKEB (Uygarlık ve Bilgi) from Turkey for making a splash and being awarded Water Explorer’s current top team!

UKEBTEAM stands out with the quality and impact of their projects. Overall, they reached more than 3,600 people and saved more than 1 tonne of water!

They organised a trip to the local forest “Izmir City Forest” to observe the nature and bug species. They even found shrimps and crabs in the lake! After their observations and inspections, they concluded that the forest and lake environment was in good condition, proving that they can still find well preserved nature even close to towns!

UKEBTEAM decided to join the Turkish Government's Zero Waste project with a recycling project for their school which they also combined with their Water Explorer Missions! As they recycle, they now also calculate how much water is preserved, showing people that recycling also helps with the preservation of water!

Inspiring work, UKEBTEAM - well done!
