Buried Water Bottles

Our action project this year is Resource use. While we are still trying to get our water capture tank (we need to get the right one because space is limited), this didn’t stop us from learning more about water and its’ plight. We joined up with water explorers this year and followed a few of the lesson plans they offered.
We also came up with our own water saving and awareness lessons like burying drinking bottles in the ground so that we watered directly to the roots and didn’t waste surface water. Also we made a new garden from recycled pallets and plastic containers. The lids were placed underneath to catch drainage so that the children could feed it back to the plants.
