Planting Trees to Beautify our school
Posted by Maminza Primary, South Africa on 14 December 2018

Mbombela Municipality donated 10 trees to Maminza Primary School for our Arbor Day Celebrations. We are very thankful as we have a lot of soil erosion and water runoff around our school. These trees will help to stabilise our soils and provide valuable shade for our learners. This is part of our whole school greening project. We celebrated with the Municipality, our Enviro Committee, our Teachers and our Learners. Together we planted the trees, mulched around them with dry grass to keep the water at their roots and we watered our trees well to give them a good start. We had a fun day.
