Making Zebra dung paper

The Birches Pre-primary Water babies learned about a relatively complicated concept of hidden or secret water. The water babies discussed which and what items are made with water and soon realised that almost everything we use has in one way or another used water. It seems hard for a 4 year old to understand that a sheet of paper uses 10l of water, so we decided to make some paper just to prove that it does. Lots of water was used to make the paper pulp. To add to the mix of recycled paper we added some zebra dung and collected pretty flowers from our indigenous water-wise garden. It was great fun learning about this hidden water and such fun to make our own paper!
